Passion Pit is an American electro band from Cambridge, Massachusetts. Formed in 2007, the group consists of Michael Angelakos (lead vocals/keyboards), Ian Hultquist (keyboards), Ayad Al Adhamy (synth/samples), Jeff Apruzzese (bass) and Nate Donmoyer (drums).
Passion Pit formed in late 2007. In 2008, after playing only a handful of shows, they were voted Best New Act in the The Boston Phoenix’s Best Music Poll.[1] Soon thereafter the band was signed to the New York City-based Frenchkiss Records and Columbia in the UK.
The band has recently finished a full-length studio album, called Manners due to be released on May 18, 2009 in the UK and May 26, 2009 in the United States.[12] In a preview article, ClashMusic.com commented that the album «has every chance to rank as one of the year’s best» and that «it reveals additional nuances with each visit: a sure-fire sign of an album with true longevity».

Prinzhorn Dance School are Tobin Prinz and Suzi Horn. Their music is sparse, uncompromising and idiosyncratic.They are signed to the New York record label DFA. Their debut release for the label was a self recorded and self produced 7-inch single featuring the tracks “You Are The Space Invader” and “Eat, Sleep” which is now highly sought after as it was limited to 500 copies only.Prinz and Horn recorded their debut album in isolation, in a rented barn in Sussex, having already written the songs in the disused chapel building they call home, also entirely on their own. The album was sebsequently mixed in New York with The DFA and was released on August 13, in the UK and on August 27 in North America.The band are known to be reclusive, with very few interviews given, and their own official website rarely features any images of their faces. Media-shy - in that they find photo-shoots vain, press releases dishonest and superlatives embarrassing – they prefer the isolation of their working space, writing and recording privately in their own austere and peculiar way.The band are building a dedicated following with impressive live shows and have completed several UK and European tours, although their American tour was famously cancelled due to visa problems.

In 1983, the very same year Kraftwerk released Tour de France and Dolly Mixture released Demonstration Tapes, Sarah Nyberg Pergament was born in Trelleborg, Sweden. She moved to Gothenburg at an early age and with both of her parents working as professional musicians she early developed a strong sense and great passion for music and art.
After three years of design and artschool and appearances in various musical contexts Sarah sat down by the computer and started writing and producing her own songs.
Sometime in the early winter of 2002 the music started to take form and she named her one-woman project Action Biker after the classic C64-game.
During 2002, Action Biker played some club gigs and at the swedish twee festival Mitt Bästa Liv. Sarah moved to Paris where she studied french, did some sporadic DJ:ing and refilled her energy and inspiration.
She returned to Gothenburg for a year, happier than ever. Since autumn 2003, she's situated in Stockholm.

In 1991 she played at the Swedish parliament as part of the Year of Jazz. Her early albums, Memories of a Color and And She Closed Her Eyes, were significantly jazz-influenced, with only subtle elements of alternative rock. With 1997’s Dynamite she started down a darker, more experimental path - most of the album was filled with processed, distorted electric guitars and unusual beats, but careful listening revealed her unique song-writing abilities.

The Mary Onettes are a Swedish Indie Rock band formed in the town of Jönköping, in 2000. Inspired by guitar pop from the 80’s and indie bands from the 90’s, The Mary Onettes were successful in releasing one EP with Sony/BMG before being dropped. Their sound has been likened to Echo & The Bunnymen, The Church, The Smiths, The Cure, and The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Britta Persson is a singer-songwriter from Sweden, originally from Vattholma near Uppsala, now living in Sweden’s capital Stockholm. She made two demo recordings, one ep, Found At Home, before releasing her debut album Top Quality Bones And A Little Terrorist in 2006. She also toured with Kristofer Åström. Kill Hollywood Me is her second full-length album, released in January 2008 on Amigo/Bonnier Amigo. It was produced by Britta Persson and Per Nordmark.
